Doors of Budapest - Hungary

I have a fascination for doors and always take photos for my collection when I am travelling.

Budapest was a wealth of wonderful old doors, many of which are huge and ornate.

No particular favourite from this collection, but I do like the wooden ones with ornate carvings the most.  The last one is particularly enormous as you can see from the gentleman standing in the hallway!

Jellyfish - Tywyn - Wales

Some of the jellyfish that have been stranded on Tywyn beach recently have been enormous as you can see against my size 4/37 foot!

My regular followers will probably have noticed that I have not been blogging recently as I have been busy living my life.

As my heading says Life is an Adventure and I do not want to spend too much time in front of a computer.

However as I am still taking lots of photos, I do want to post sometimes as this is an online scrapbook of my travels, which is why I have incorporated my Photography Blog into this one.

I hope you will continue to enjoy my photographs which I will endeavour to post more often than I have been doing so recently.

With thanks for your continuing support.

ABC Wednesday - M - Mosaics - Archaeological Park - Pafos - Cyprus

Entrance to the World Heritage Site of  Pafos Archaeological Park
A visit to Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is such a treat. An unspoilt site left as natural as possible means that in addition to the archaeology and the beautiful mosaics you have the bonus of being surrounded by the beauty of mother nature. Amidst the stunning surroundings one can also enjoy the bird life and the wild flowers.

I visited Pafos in February and have chosen to share a few photos of the Mosaics for the letter M for ABC Wednesday  today taken during my visit to Pafos Archaeological Park

The Kato Pafos archaeological site became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980 and the aim was to protect and maintain these wonderful remains which are from prehistoric times to the middle ages, although most are dating from the Roman period. The mosaics are from the floors of four Roman villas.  They are very impressive, my photos do not do them justice but hopefully you will find them interesting.

If you enjoyed my post about the Mosaics today maybe you will consider following Travel Tales as I will return to the Pafos Archaeological Park in a future post.

I am sharing this post with  ABC Wednesday

I have often taken part in this meme over the last few years.

This is the first time I have posted this meme on Travel Tales, a new home for all photos that I would have previously shared on LindyLouMac's World in Photos

The following links may be informative if you are interested in reading more about the Archaeological Park of Pafos.  The photos are all my own and the text used is with thanks to my own copy of DK Eyewitness Travel Top 10 Cyprus
